Henry Booking Records by Stage
Four records, four different answers. A current-inmate lookup shows who is in the Henry County Jail right now. A release entry, a court docket, and a prison file each cover a different or later stage. Someone freshly booked may not appear immediately, because intake processing takes time. A released person can drop out of a custody view, yet the sheriff keeps the intake file and the criminal case moves ahead. If the vendor's released-date search gets verified for Henry, keep the date span tight. Until then, ask the sheriff for that event directly.
Once prosecutors file, MyCase is the strongest public window into the court path. What gets booked and what gets charged can differ. Amendments, pleas, dismissals, trials, and sentencing all live in that court history, not the jail log. A state prison sentence brings the Indiana Department of Corrections into play. IDOC may create its own later record, with its own photo. That image is not the original Henry County booking picture.
Federal custody splits further. The Bureau of Prisons may list a sentenced inmate with no photograph at all. The Marshals Service can house a federal pretrial prisoner under contract at a local facility. ICE runs a separate detainee locator. Keep the chain straight. City police hold incident reports, the sheriff holds jail intake, the clerk holds case records, IDOC covers state prison, and the right federal agency covers federal detention.
Henry County Busted Mugshot Records
The sheriff's office builds the county jail intake record once a police agency brings someone in for detention. Staff verify identity, log the booking event, note the charges and custody details, and may take identification photos. New Castle, Middletown, and Knightstown police keep their own incident or arrest reports, but the jail intake file belongs to the sheriff. The clerk and court hold whatever case gets filed. Every one of these records captures a different stage.
People call the booking photo a mugshot. It belongs to an intake event, nothing more. Prosecutors can decline or change the booked charge, and judges can dismiss counts or enter later judgments, so Henry County busted records read best beside the court's chronological case summary. Release from jail tells you only that custody at that facility ended. The case itself may still be open.
Henry County Booking Record Fields
No fixed result schema appears on the official county site. So a records request should name the exact fields you need. Don't assume a vendor screen shows everything. Ask for the booking sheet and the frontal or profile image as separate items. That wording keeps a "booking record" from being read as text alone.
| Field to request | What it can establish |
|---|---|
| Booked name and aliases | The identity used for that intake and details to avoid a same-name mismatch. |
| Booking number and times | The jail event identifier and arrest or intake date and time. |
| Arresting agency | The police office that delivered the person for booking. |
| Charges and cause numbers | Charges as booked and links to a later court case. |
| Bond, holds, and status | Release terms, another agency's hold, and custody state. |
| Release and photograph | The public release event and separate intake image, if disclosable. |
Think of bond as collateral for showing up to court. It is not a fine. Someone can also have a hold placed on them by another agency, which delays release until that agency is ready. Two tools answer different questions about the same case. Release records show where a person was held at a given moment, while MyCase tracks what the prosecutor filed and how the judge resolved it.
Request Henry County Busted Records
Want busted records from Henry County? Indiana's Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, gives you a way in. Write a reasonably particular request for the records you want. The sheriff's office accepts its official public-record request form by mail, email, or fax. Address it to the Henry County Sheriff Department, attention John Guy/Desk Sergeant, 1033 Ron Lampe Way, New Castle, IN 47362. Email works too: jguy@henrycounty.in.gov. The fax number is 765-521-3745.
- Give the full name, approximate booking date, jail, arresting agency if known, and a booking or cause number.
- Ask for the existing booking or intake sheet and each existing booking identification photograph as separate items, preferably by email.
- If part is withheld, ask for the cited statute, responsible official, and each public portion that can be separated.
- Keep the request and acknowledgment. Ask for an estimated production date if more time is needed.
Costs are simple here. The sheriff publishes no fee for standard reports, though that figure is not a published price for booking photos. So ask before you place an order. One protection is clear: APRA allows free inspection and bars search or review fees. State copies usually run ten cents per page, and a separate authorized fee can apply in certain situations.
Henry Arrest Request Deadlines
Deadlines under APRA are about acknowledgment, not delivery. A phone or walk-in request should get acknowledged within twenty-four hours. Mail, email, and fax requests get seven calendar days. After that, production happens within a reasonable time that depends on scope and complexity.
Keep the ask tight. One name, one date, and named record types will identify a Henry County mugshot request far more easily than a demand for a whole history. Silence after the applicable period? Follow up with the custodian. An acknowledgment is not a promise that a photo lands in your inbox within a day or a week.
Note: New Castle's police fee schedule does not set the sheriff's price for a county jail booking image.
Indiana Busted Mugshot Law
Indiana has no verified stand-alone mugshot-publication or anti-pay-to-remove law. Government access rests mainly on APRA, while outcome-based sealing and expungement use IC 35-38-9. Neither law creates an automatic right to erase every private copy. An eligible person must follow the proper court process, and the effect depends on the final outcome and statute section.
For an arrest that did not lead to conviction, Section 1 generally permits a petition after at least one year from the arrest, charge, or juvenile allegation, whichever is later, or after a vacatur becomes final. Other sections use different waits and rules. Check the Indiana judiciary's expungement guide against the actual judgment. Some relief seals records from public access; other relief leaves a public record marked expunged. Official records are not always destroyed.
Correct a sheriff error with the exact booking number, disputed field, and proof. After a signed order, give it to the official custodian first. Mugshots.com and RecentlyBooked publish no-fee maintenance processes for specified documented outcomes, though Henry has no active RecentlyBooked section. Use only published free procedures. Never pay or endorse a removal service. Once a host changes a page, search-engine refresh tools can update the result but cannot remove the source.
Henry Busted Records Can Be Withheld
A blank search result does not mean a person was never arrested. Indiana keeps juvenile delinquency records confidential under IC 31-39-1-2. MyCase leaves out confidential, sealed, and expunged cases too. Victim information, medical and security details, and protected investigatory material can all be withheld or blacked out. So an empty result may simply mark a legal line.
Plain logistics cause gaps as well. Misspellings happen. Intake lags behind the arrest. A person gets transferred, released, or never charged, and the entry never appears where you looked. Go to whichever office owns the record. The sheriff can sort out a jail intake file. The clerk can tell you whether a public case even exists.
Older Henry County Booking Records
Indiana's archives schedule treats an adult inmate custody file as one series covering intake, booking, transfer, release, and related paperwork. Under PSA 17-39, the whole series can be destroyed ten years after incarceration ends. Booking photographs are not listed by name. Ask Henry directly whether the image lives inside that series. One more caution: a retention date promises nothing. It does not guarantee the item exists, is online, or was destroyed on the first eligible day.
Different files run on different clocks. Daily bulletins can go after one year. Fingerprints are permanent. Police case files vary with the offense and how it ended. So route your question to the right office. The sheriff handles old jail events. The clerk handles case outcomes. State-prison history sits with IDOC and, after transfer, with the State Archives. The Indiana State Archives correction collections hold institutional records plus some historic portrait and mugshot material.

That archive page is a starting point for old IDOC questions. It is nothing more. It is not a full Henry County jail archive. Finding a name in an index still leaves two open questions. Did the photo survive at all? And did anyone ever digitize it?
Find Henry County Busted Mugshots
Match the search tool to the custody stage. Current or recent local custody? Try the jail and SAVIN/VINELink, where the service participates. A filed case points to MyCase. Sentenced state custody belongs to IDOC. BOP and ICE run their own separate federal systems. None of these channels replaces any other, so plan on more than one.
- Open the jail page, then call inmate information at 765-529-5201 when current local custody needs direct confirmation.
- Use SAVIN/VINELink for a participating custody record and notice. An absent result proves nothing final.
- Inspect the Henry-labeled JailTracker tenant only with the vendor-provenance caveat. Do not assume its photo or update behavior.
- Search MyCase under Henry County and the correct court for charges, hearings, dismissal, judgment, and sentence.
- Request the booking sheet and image if no verified public interface supplies them. Use IDOC, BOP, or ICE only when that custody stage fits.
Start with the legal surname and given name. Then try any spelling variant you already know. Narrow the results by date, and match a booking or cause number before concluding anything. A shared name alone identifies no one.
Henry Busted Roster Has Limits
The official Henry County Jail page breaks from what most counties offer. There is no conventional roster, no new-bookings gallery, and no stated photo policy. Instead, the page points visitors toward SAVIN/VINELink. It also notes that participation varies by jail. A separate JailTracker tenant does carry the Henry_County_IN label. Yet the county page never links to it. That raises the real question: provenance. Technical access is one thing. Official endorsement is another.

What the county page does supply is current jail contact information plus its endorsed notification route. It stops short of verifying that vendor screen as the sheriff's public roster.
| Possible search field | Henry County status |
|---|---|
| First and last name | Reported in the broader vendor model; confirm locally. |
| Birth date and county | Possible filters, not county-certified fields. |
| Booked-between dates | Today, seven-day, and thirty-day models need confirmation. |
| Released-between dates | Possible field; persistence and archive depth are unknown. |
| Photo and details | No county photo promise; do not assume a mugshot appears. |
No Henry Busted Booking Feed
No sheriff-run bookings feed turned up here. There is no verified twenty-four, forty-eight, or seventy-two-hour page, no weekly arrest blotter, and none of the three mapped police departments publishes anything at the person level. Even confirmed vendor date filters would only search underlying records. They would not amount to a distinct daily sheriff feed. Basics like field lists, photo behavior, refresh cadence, and archive depth remain unpublished.
Work the chain instead. Call the inmate line for current custody. Use VINE for notification where it participates. File a focused APRA request for intake details and any image. Then check MyCase for court action. Each claim stays tied to the agency that actually owns the record.
Note: A daily bulletin can age out after one year while the adult custody file itself follows a much longer schedule.
Henry Booking Release Timing
The jail handbook tacks a five-dollar fee onto every cash, body-attachment, or surety bond, per cause number. That is not a bond schedule. Bond terms come from the judge's order and the case record, full stop. The handbook also describes routine completion-of-sentence releases at 6:00 p.m. Clearance checks and unpaid debts can delay them. Transport releases follow their own timing.
Never guess a release date from a caption. Rough math on a sentence is no better. Call the jail for custody status and the court for orders. A second cause number or a hold from another agency can keep someone locked up long past what you expected.
Henry Busted Custody Alerts
Custody alerts for Henry County run through Indiana SAVIN/VINELink, the state-endorsed notification system. Sign up and it can tell you when someone's custody status changes. That is the whole job it does. It will not surface warrants, full arrest histories, or court outcomes, and mugshots are not promised either. For anything urgent, call the jail and ask directly.

One caution about look-alike apps. The sheriff's office in Henry County, Indiana has no verified app of its own. A search result that looks official actually belongs to Henry County, Georgia, right down to its 770 area code numbers. Generic county alert apps and random social media posts are not booking feeds either. Treat them as noise.
Where Henry Busted Mugshots Appear
Start with official sources when hunting a Henry County mugshot. They sit closest to the actual custody and court action. Private archives and news sites can round out the picture, sure. But their material may be stale, spotty, or missing the outcome entirely.
| Channel | Photo status | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Henry County Jail | No web policy stated | Official contacts and custody directions. |
| SAVIN/VINELink | Not guaranteed | Participating custody status and alerts. |
| Sheriff request | Request existing image | Official booking sheet and disclosable photo. |
| IDOC | May appear or be requested | Later state-prison custody, not county intake. |
| The Courier-Times | Varies by story | Event-driven local news, not a roster. |
| Mugshots.com | Historic portrait cards | Unofficial 2013-centered archive, not current custody. |
The private mugshot sites thin out fast here. RecentlyBooked's county page has vanished, and neither Busted Newspaper nor Arrests.org lists Henry at all. Mugshots.zone coverage could not be confirmed. Mugshots.com is the only one of the five with a verified county-local page, though it is old enough that it tells you nothing about who is in custody now.
Henry Arrests and IDOC Photos
For state prisoners, try the IDOC offender locator. It tracks people held in Indiana correctional custody, mostly those already sentenced. Fresh Henry County arrests will not appear there one by one. Search by DOC number if you have it. Otherwise, use a name and check the identity and custody details with care. One more wrinkle is worth knowing. A person at New Castle Correctional Facility may have entered the system from anywhere, so that placement alone tells you nothing about where the case began.

Think of the Indiana offender locator as a prison-side tool. The public can request photos held by the state Department of Corrections. Whether one appears, though, depends on the record itself and the interface you land on. Nothing is guaranteed.
Federal search tools behave differently. The BOP locator covers federal inmates from 1982 onward. It has no photo field at all. ICE's version spans its own detention facilities plus certain recent releases. It will not produce a Henry County booking photo either. A blank result in one system settles nothing elsewhere.
Henry Busted Charges Reach Court
Indiana MyCase is the public's main doorway once charges are filed. Pull up a case with a party name or cause number, choose Henry County, and read the chronological case summary. It lays out the filed counts, hearing dates, bond orders, any amended or dismissed charges, plea or trial entries, the sentence, and the final judgment. Want certified copies? Go through the clerk.
The county's court structure matters when you search. Henry runs three circuit divisions plus a separate Henry/New Castle City Court, and Circuit Court 3 takes Level 6 felonies, misdemeanors, small claims, and traffic infractions. Search the wrong court and a case can slip past you. Jail staff get little warning about court appearances and won't call the court for you, per the handbook. Stick with MyCase and the clerk.
- Booking
- The jail intake after arrest or lawful transfer.
- Bond
- A pretrial release condition, not a guilty finding.
- Disposition
- The court's outcome for a charge.
- Expungement
- Court relief whose effect varies by Indiana law.
Use Henry Jail's Current Address
Addresses can go stale, so trust the live source. The county's current jail page lists 1033 Ron Lampe Way in New Castle and describes a secure facility with 130 beds. An older official inmate handbook still shows 127 N. 12th Street. Check the county page first for mailing and visit details. The handbook still helps with facility rules; just let the newer address win when the two clash.

Henry Busted Mugshots by City
City police records and county jail bookings are two different animals. One city agency may keep the arrest report. The jail handles intake, and the court tracks the filed case. Confirm where a booking actually landed. No formal city transport policy could be found.
- New Castle Busted Mugshots covers city police records and county jail intake. No person-level daily city feed was verified.
- Middletown Busted Mugshots explains its police path and expected county detention route. No town log was found.
- Knightstown Busted Mugshots follows police or clerk records to county jail and court. No town photo feed exists.
The Mugshots in the News page draws a line between local press coverage and official custody records. The Courier-Times stands out as the strongest local outlet, though a news story alone won't tell you whether someone sits in jail now.
